We heard our TK-02 owners loud and clear. You wanted iced coffee, and we delivered. Our latest update includes a few new iced coffee additions and some other new features TK-02 users wanted to see. Let’s get into it.

Iced coffee, new espresso profiles, and new custom drinks

In the new update, users will see “Iced Coffee” as a new drink secion in the app, which means users can add it to their machine as-is, or use it as a starting point for a new custom drink. We designed this one to brew at a lower temperature — to combat ice melting once the coffee reaches your cup. Brewing directly over ice has never been better! As usual, you can update the settings and tweak them to your liking.

In addition, we have a new espresso profile designed just for iced espresso beverages. Say goodbye to watery iced lattes, Americanos, and more. “Iced Specialty” can be downloaded right to your TK account when you scan the below QR code from the TK App.

But the espresso profiles don’t end there! Now, every time you purchase a bag of coffee from the TK Shop, your email confirmation will include a unique QR for each bag. Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera or TK App, and you can download a specially designed espresso profile for that coffee. Brewing like the pros has never been easier.

A lot of TK-02 owners have asked for the ability to create custom drinks with drip coffee plus milk and/or espresso. Now you can! Create café au laits or red eyes in just a few taps — and brew them with one tap.

Milk beta testing

In our last update, we increased the overall temperature of espresso shots. A few TK-02 owners came back to us and said they’d also like to see an increase in the temperature of the hot milk dispensed by the machine. While we’re still working on a final enhancement, you can help us get there! When you go to Settings > Advanced Settings in your machine menu, you can toggle on “Hot Milk Beta Opt-In.” With this, your machine will automatically deploy a few new processes that should increase the temperature of hot milk. We’ll collect feedback from users who opt-in to help make these changes permanent in a future update.

Improvements to the user interface

Finally, we’ve added a few new ways to make using your machine more convenient. First, each new firmware update will add a "What's New" widget to your app home screen, which will detail all the changes to your machine and app.

We’ve also updated the settings to allow you to change the auto-sleep function. Before, your machine would go to sleep after 5 hours of not being used. Now, you can change the Sleep Delay to anywhere between 3 to 12 hours in the new Advanced Settings section of your machine. This is also where you’ll find the Wi-Fi toggle and the water purge function, to boost the heat of your espresso shots.

Second, we’ve updated the screensaver so that when your machine goes to sleep, the clock will display (instead of a black screen). It’s the little things.

We’re so excited that thousands of TK-02 owners will experience all the exciting new features in today’s update. Our mission is to elevate every coffee lover’s brewing experience; this update is another step up.
