1.5 Years in and couldn't be happier!
Reviewed on June 14, 2026
This is our first super-auto coffee machine. Our friends and family can't get enough of our coffee setup. I look forward to my coffee every single day. PS - The new glass milk carafe is a must-have! We have only had one issue with it in 1.5 years of ownership, which required us to send it back to TK-02. They offered real human support, sent us a box with a return label, fixed the product and shipped it back all free of cost. You need to keep up with it, but its not too crazy - clean drip tray well (~2x per week) - dump and clean waste bin (2-3x per week) - clean water container (every other week) - descale / clean brewer / change water filter.. FEELS quarterly.. but maybe 2-3 times per year and its step by step instructions.. you really can't mess it up.
700+ Shots Later: An Honest, In-Depth Review of the TK-02
Reviewed on June 8, 2026
I unknowingly had my first taste of the Terra Kaffe TK-02 during a birthday dinner at an Italian restaurant in Bayview, ID. The affogato I ordered featured one of the best espresso shots I’d ever tasted. When the server mentioned it came from a sleek, black, fully-automatic machine at the bar that everyone loved, my partner recognized it immediately from previous research. We ordered our own TK-02 that very night, and it completely changed our routine. We went from going to local coffee shops almost daily to making our counter the ultimate coffee destination. After a few months of heavy daily use, here is my breakdown of how the TK-02 holds up. The Stats So Far: To give you an idea of how much I use this, the app tracks your stats (a incredibly fun feature). So far, I have brewed over 700 shots, made 500 drinks, gone through 19 pounds of coffee beans, and used over 1,000 oz of milk and 5,000 oz of water. Physically and mechanically, it is still going incredibly strong. The Pros: Sleek & Space-Saving Design: For everything it does, the footprint is impressively slim. The matte black finish is gorgeous, modern, and very easy to wipe clean. Little details, like the satisfying magnetic front enclosures, make it feel premium and incredibly well-built. True All-in-One Performance: It replaces the need for a separate drip machine. It makes fantastic espresso and excellent drip coffee—it can even brew a full carafe, which is incredibly rare for a fully-automatic machine of this size. The plain hot water feature is also perfectly clean with zero rogue coffee grounds. Zero-Stress Interface: The combination of the responsive on-machine screen and the intuitive app removes all the intimidating complexity of traditional espresso. It tells you exactly when to change the filter, clean, descale, or empty the grounds. It even prevents user error by letting you know if a tray is missing or the hopper lid is off. Dual-Hopper Versatility: The primary hopper keeps my main beans fresh and ready to grind, but the secondary single-serve hopper is a game-changer for afternoon decaf cravings using pre-ground coffee. Smart Scheduling: You can schedule the machine to wake up in the morning so it’s heated and ready to brew the moment you walk into the kitchen. The Minor Drawbacks: Milk Temperature: The steamed milk runs a bit on the cooler side. It’s perfectly fine for a quick macchiato or cortado, but if I’m making a large latte, I usually pop the milk in the microwave for a few seconds afterward. That said, it's very comparable to other automatic frothers I've used. Maintenance Logistics: Because the machine flushes and cleans itself thoroughly (which is a good thing!), the large drip tray and grounds bin fill up quickly. If your machine isn't right next to a sink, carrying the wide tray to empty it can be a little awkward. Also, the stainless steel plate on the drip tray seems to scratch easily, though it doesn't affect performance. Rare Connectivity Glitches: It occasionally drops Wi-Fi, and if you try to change a drink setting during a brief disconnect, it won't save. Fortunately, this is rare. It can also be a bit noisy when grinding and brewing, but that's expected with any serious espresso machine.
Great purchase for coffee enthusiasts

I have had my TK02 since April 2024. It makes amazing espresso drinks. I have several lattes daily and have had zero issues with this machine. I’m 100% decaffeinated but LOVE coffee. I even took it on VK with me and my sisters enjoyed their favorites as I set them all up with their own recipes. I use the bypass for caffeinated but my bean hopper is decaf only. I have enjoyed every last cup this machine has made me! Super easy. Just do what it says on screen (fill water, empty drip tray, rinse milk system) which are all super easy to do. I taught my sisters in <5 minutes and we were all brewing like baristas. If you need push button ease due to lack of technical skillls, this is the machine for you! I got the TK 02 because this described my husband and when we divorced, I got custody of the TK02
